Guatemala minimum wage
Guatemala has no single national minimum wage. An annual Acuerdo Gubernativo of the Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social sets a MATRIX of daily/monthly minimum wages by ECONOMIC ACTIVITY (agrícola / no agrícola / exportadora y de maquila) and, since Acuerdo Gubernativo 285-2021 defined them, by ECONOMIC CIRCUMSCRIPTION (CE1 = department of Guatemala; CE2 = the other 21 departments). This series carries the LOWEST daily rate in the schedule.

Full 2026 matrix (Acuerdo Gubernativo 256-2025, published in the Diario de Centro América on 22 Dec 2025, effective 1 Jan 2026) — daily wage / monthly equivalent (monthly = daily x 30.4167): CE1 (department of Guatemala): agrícola Q124.64 / Q3,791.20; no agrícola Q131.58 / Q4,002.28; exportadora y maquila Q112.10 / Q3,409.73. CE2 (rest of the country): agrícola Q119.21 / Q3,625.89; no agrícola Q125.49 / Q3,816.90; exportadora y maquila Q105.90 / Q3,221.10 (the FLOOR shown as value; the RANGE tops out at Q131.58/day, no agrícola CE1). Increases over 2025: +7.5% no agrícola, +5.5% agrícola, +4.0% exportadora/maquila. CAUTION: the DCA news article misprints the CE2 exportadora monthly figure as Q3,321.10; arithmetic (105.90 x 30.4167) and the 2025 base (Q3,097.21 x 1.04) both give Q3,221.10, the figure also reported by EY.
