Effective_from uses the announcement date; the new target technically applies from the following business day. The easing cycle began March 2024. Reconfirmed unchanged at the 6 August 2026 announcement: «El objetivo para la Tasa de Interés Interbancaria a 1 día (tasa objetivo) se mantiene sin cambio en 6.50 por ciento». Next scheduled announcement: 24 September 2026 (remaining 2026 dates: 24 Sep, 5 Nov, 17 Dec). Headline inflation was ~3.55% (early June 2026, within the 3% +/-1 target band) while core inflation stayed above target (~4.1%), so the Board signalled it may hold.
