What this value means
June 2026: y/y 5.83% (down from 6.09% in May), monthly +0.19% (lowest June since 2020), H1-2026 accumulated 3.80%; index level 103.80 (Dec-2025=100). Inflation is temporarily ABOVE the BCH tolerance range (4.0% +/- 1.0pp), driven by the Middle East conflict fuel shock from March 2026: Transporte division +14.77% y/y contributes 2.48pp; energy classification +19.62% y/y. 2025 closed at 4.98% (the figure used to index the 2026 income-tax table). REBASE WARNING: from January 2026 the IPC uses base Dec-2025=100 replacing base Dec-1999=100, adds a Seguros y Servicios Financieros division and reweights heavily (Transporte 9.00->16.10, Alimentos 31.80->25.60, Vivienda 19.20->11.77) — y/y rates for 2023-2026 are published bridged on the new base in Cuadro No.1. Access: monthly report PDFs live at bch.hn/estadisticos/GIE/LIBIPC/ with filename pattern 'Índice de Precios al Consumidor <Mes> <Año>.pdf' (URL-encode the accents); the friendly bch.hn IPC landing pages intermittently 404. July 2026 report expected ~mid-August 2026.
