June 2026 IPC Nacional Urbano: index 102.1 (Base 2024=100), monthly variation -0.3% (first fall since February, driven by Transporte -1.5%: diesel -5.8%/gasoline -4.2% at class level, air fares -3.8%), cumulative Dec 2025-Jun 2026 +2.3%, interannual (Jun 2026 vs Jun 2025) +2.3% - the two coincide because the Jun 2025 and Dec 2025 reference levels are nearly equal (Anexo 4 prints Jun 2025 = 99.9 and Dec 2025 = 99.8; unrounded both sit at ~99.8). Value served = interannual variation from Anexo 4 of the cuadros PDF (URL cited); note the monthly 'Comentario' PDF carries ONLY the monthly variation, so re-verification must use the cuadros/Anexo 4 file. SERIES BREAK WARNING: INEC rebased the IPC to 2024=100 (weights from the 2017/18 Encuesta de Ingresos y Gastos de los Hogares, urban areas nationwide) - do not splice with the old Oct 2002=100 series. Access quirks: INEC file URLs carry changing timestamp prefixes (e.g. A07055475YYYYMMDDhhmmss...) - scrape the avance page (inec.gob.pa/avance/Default2.aspx?ID_CATEGORIA=2&ID_CIFRAS=10&ID_IDIOMA=1) each month for the new link; PDFs have a text layer (pdftotext works). July 2026 release expected ~mid-August 2026. All 2026 monthly figures cross-checked digit-for-digit against three independent press reports of the INEC releases.
